This was our second project for Toyota UK, this time ESH were contracted to supply and install a temperature maintenance trace heating system. The process pipework within the weld shop required maintaining above +30°C and this was achieved using our type SC constant wattage heating cable.

The ESH type H2OWAT55 self regulating heating tape was supplied and installed to provide temperature maintenance of +55°C. The tape was installed to the underside of the HWS pipework in a straight trace configuration from the un-vented water heaters up to the thermostatic mixing valves.

Tyseley Energy Recovery Facility

This state-of-the-art energy recovery facility takes around 350,000 tonnes of waste per year and burns it to produce electricity. ESH were contracted to design, supply and install a high temperature trace heating system to temperature maintain a large fly ash hopper at +110°C. The steel hopper was 2m tall and 2.3m squared.

Wolverhampton New Cross Hospital

Within the hospitals new £16m Integrated Pathology Building, ESH were contracted to provided a frost protection trace heating system to the chilled water and heating pipework on the level 1 plant deck and roof area. Over 300 metres of constant wattage heating cable was supplied and installed.

Within this brand new McDonalds restaurant, ESH supplied and installed a hot water temperature maintenance system to maintain +55°C on all the restaurants DHWS pipework. The system was designed using type H2OWAT55 self regulating heating tape.

For this brand new technical college, ESH designed, supplied and installed a frost protection trace heating system to protect two runs of 90m long, 32mm diameter, MDPE pipework. The pipes run from the MFL building towards the kitchen building.

Stepney Green School, London

Within this brand new secondary school situated in the heart of East End of London, ESH supplied and installed a frost protection trace heating system to the domestic hot water, hot water (return pipe) and cold water pipes. The system was designed using our type FBT self regulating heating cable which was used throughout.

The Old Gaol, Oxford


Built in 1811, The Old Gaol is now a Grade 2 listed building. Part of the re-development to transform into luxury apartments, duplexes and cottages saw ESH design, supply and install a frost protection system to the BCWS and MCW pipework.

In total just under 1km of type VC constant wattage trace heating cable was supplied and installed on site.

The project scope was to supply and install a trace heating system to provide temperature maintenance on two large metal tanks. The tanks were 3.1 metres in diameter and 4 metres tall and required to be maintain at +40°C.
